We are committed to building and restoring new coastal environments. Our lab develops scientific solutions, but we also physically build ecosystems with partners.
We have restored sand dunes, wetlands, and oyster reefs, and worked with citizen volunteers, private landowners, engineering firms, non-profits, state and federal agencies, and foreign nations. We get excited about steering efficient and successful outcomes using hydrological, geomorphological, and ecological knowledge on projects ranging from only a few square meters up to hundreds of square kilometers in size.
Our lab has been awarded the highest environmental honor in Texas for our work, the Texas Environmental Excellence Award, and Dr. Feagin has been recognized in a resolution by Texas State Senate Proclamation #355. We are in the business of designing advanced techniques to help restore and manage coastal systems.
